October 18th Daily Devotion Day 1
The Way That Leads to Life
Reading: Proverbs 14:12 — This verse warns that a path that appears correct to human reasoning can ultimately lead to destruction and death.
Devotional: There is a way that seems right. We have all walked it. It is the path of self-sufficiency, of leaning on our own understanding, of trusting what we can see and measure and control. But Scripture is clear that this road ends in death. The good news is that God did not leave us on that road. He sent His Son, who poured Himself out completely so that we might have not just life, but life in abundance. Today, pause and honestly ask yourself which path you are walking. Are you trusting your own reasoning, or are you surrendering to the One who knows the way? The first step toward abundance is admitting that your way is not enough.
Reflection: In what area of your life are you still trusting your own reasoning over God's direction?
Practical Application: Identify one decision you are currently facing and intentionally bring it before God in prayer before making any move.
