October 11th Daily Devotion - Day 1

Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

Reading: Psalm 119:105 — A verse declaring that God's Word serves as a guiding light for each step we take and a lamp illuminating the path ahead.

Devotional:
There are seasons when the road ahead looks dark and uncertain. You cannot see what is coming. You cannot map out the next mile. But God never promised to hand you a full itinerary. He promised to light the very next step.
As the pastor reminded us from the pulpit, "To take a step in the dark is scary, but we don't walk alone. God goes before us, beside us, and is a light unto our path."
The narrow road is not always comfortable, but it is always covered. His Word does not illuminate the entire journey at once. It illuminates enough. Enough for today. Enough for this moment. Enough to keep moving.

Personal Reflection: Where in your life are you demanding a full map from God instead of trusting the lamp He has already provided?

Practical Application: Write down one area of uncertainty in your life. Then write Psalm 119:105 beside it as a declaration that God's Word is sufficient light for that very situation. Read it aloud each morning this week.
