Day 1: Responding When He Calls Your Name
Reading: Isaiah 43:1 — God declares that He has called His people by name and that they belong to Him.
Devotional: There is a difference between hearing and responding. The worship at LaPorte Church echoed this truth clearly: God is calling your name, but the call alone does not change you. Your response does. So many of us sit in the hearing and never move into the responding. We listen to the voice of God week after week, post after post, song after song, and yet remain unchanged because we have not truly responded. Today, do not just acknowledge that He is calling. Answer Him. Step toward Him. Let your response be the beginning of your encounter.
Reflection Question: In what area of your life have you been hearing God call but have not yet responded?
Practical Application: Set aside ten minutes today in a quiet place. Tell God out loud that you hear Him and that you are responding. Surrender one specific thing you have been holding onto.
