October 4th Daily Devotion - Day 5

Walking by Faith Into the Unknown

Reading: Proverbs 3:5-6 — The reader is instructed to trust in the Lord completely rather than leaning on personal understanding, to acknowledge Him in every path, and to receive His guidance.

Devotional:
The opening reflection of this service spoke of stepping into the dark, of taking a first step when the full path is not yet visible. God does not always illuminate the whole road at once. He promises a lamp for our feet and a light for our path — enough light for the next step, not a floodlight for the entire journey. This is where faith lives. Not in certainty, but in trust. Not in seeing everything, but in knowing the One who does. The sermon reminded us that God goes before us, beside us, and behind us. He knows exactly where we have been and exactly where we are going. You do not need to see the end of the road to take the next step. You simply need to trust the One who holds it all.

Personal Reflection: What step of faith have you been delaying because you cannot yet see how it will all work out?

Practical Application: Identify one decision or action you have been postponing out of fear. Bring it before God in prayer today and ask for the courage to take the next faithful step.
