September 13th Daily Devotion - Day 1

Enough

Reading: Psalm 126:3 -- a declaration that the Lord has done great things, resulting in joy among His people

Devotional: There is a tradition in Jewish Passover worship where, after recounting each act of God's deliverance, the people sing that if that one act had been all God ever did, it would have been enough. Sit with that today. If God had done nothing else for you but send His Son to die in your place, that alone would be more than enough. Yet He continues to provide, sustain, heal, and restore. Rather than approaching God today with a list of needs, approach Him first with a heart overflowing with gratitude. Name the things He has already done. Let thanksgiving be your first language today.

Reflection Question: What has God done in your life that, even on its own, would have been enough?

Practical Application: Write down three specific things God has done for you that you have not recently thanked Him for. Spend time in prayer expressing gratitude before presenting any requests.
