October 4th Daily Devotion - Day 1

The Wonder of His Presence

Reading: Psalm 27:4 — The psalmist expresses one consuming desire: to dwell in God's house and behold His beauty all the days of his life.

Devotional:
There is a difference between attending church and dwelling in God's presence. One is a habit. The other is a hunger. The sermon reminded us that lives are not changed by routine — they are changed by encounter. The worship song asked that we never lose the wonder of His presence, and that prayer is worth making your own today. Ask yourself honestly: am I going through the motions, or am I genuinely longing to meet with God? Routine can quietly replace relationship. Tradition can quietly replace transformation. But when you press past the familiar and into His presence, something shifts. Peace arrives. Strength returns. Hearts are made new. Guard the wonder. Protect the hunger. Let the longing of your heart always be to sit at His feet.

Personal Reflection: What distractions or routines have dulled your hunger for God's presence this season?

Practical Application: Set aside ten minutes today in silence. No music, no phone. Simply invite the Holy Spirit to meet with you and wait in His presence.
