Day 3: Built on a Foundation That Cannot Shake
Reading: Matthew 7:24-27 — Jesus describes two builders, one who builds on rock and one who builds on sand. When the storms arrive, only the house on the firm foundation stands.
Devotional: Rain came and wind blew. That is not a possibility in the Christian life. It is a certainty. The question has never been whether the storm will come but what your house is built upon when it does. The worship at LaPorte Church declared this truth with conviction: Christ is the firm foundation, the rock on which we stand. When everything around you is shaken, your confidence is not in your own strength or wisdom. It is in the one who has never failed across generations. He was faithful then. He is faithful now. He will be faithful still.
Reflection Question: What are you currently building your security upon, and how would it hold in a severe storm?
Practical Application: Write down one area of your life where you have been relying on your own strength. Pray specifically over that area and declare that Christ is your foundation there.
